I’m a real food lover, fitness, nutrition and wellness enthusiast, content creator and a blogger. I love and enjoy trying new recipes, hiking, reading, road trips, good food, working out, travelling, the oceans, rivers, safaris, crocheting, designing and sewing clothes, gardening, flowers.

I’m a big advocate of self-care and holistic wellness to create a balanced, happy life.

My Story

I went home for Christmas in 2020 with my nice kitenge shirt-dress to visit my mom so that we could wear matching outfit with her my sister and I. To my shock, the dress couldn’t button up! I had to use a belt to cover my belly.

On and off over the years, I could do dance workout in the house, stretches, push-ups or skipping but I kept on adding weight. I tried the dieting fads that I would find on the internet; loosing belly fat with a concoction of ginger, lime, beetroots and mint. I tried detox program by being on a liquid diet for 7 days which I quit on the second day because I couldn’t function. I tried no carbs diet on a cardiologist advise but I gave up on the third day, I had started tingling sensation on my legs and I could barely function. I tried intermittent fasting that only lasted a day because all I could think about was food.

Come January 2022, I was to report to a new corporate job and none of my dresses could fit. I spent a whole week adjusting the seams. When I looked myself in the mirror, I didn’t like my shape at all, with the bulging stomach, flabby arms. That was not me at all! Aside from not fitting in my clothes, I was feeling fat, always bloated and not able to sleep well.

I decided that I need to do something if only to get my waist line a bit more manageable. From 2019, I had watched my weight increase from its usual 73kg to 84kgs by January 2022. I got into a weight loss jumpstart program with a renowned weight loss coach and I saw a lot of transformation with the change in nutrition. On February, I joined the gym, working out five times a week. In three months I had made noticeable changes and I was fitting more comfortably in my clothes.

People took notice of my transformation and started asking about it. I figured that I could help people transform their lives by healthy nutrition and fitness.

I enrolled with ISSA for certification in order to authoritatively help people live healthy and happy lives.

Today, I’m passionate about life restarts and helping others make positive nutrition and lifestyle changes – at any age. With natural and science-based information alongside wellness inspiration, my life experiences and inspiring travel and lifestyle posts, I’m happy to show you how simple it is to attain wellness and wholeness and ultimately happy life.

Education and Career

I’m a Business and Management graduate, with a major in Finance. I’ve been in corporate Kenya for a period of 15 years, with hands on experience in Business Operations, Customer Experience, Business Administration and Facilities Management.

While I got back to employment in 2022, I began working on corporate wellness borrowed from my 5 years’ experience in managing the company Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). I discovered that most of the organizations do not pay much attention to this very important aspect of employees’ welfare that contributes to optimal employee productivity, low cost of medical care, less absenteeism. You’ll find a lot of information on regulatory requirements under OSHA Act 2007 and how to apply it in the workplace as an employee and employer.
