Does Lemon water reduce belly fat?
You were told to take hot water and lemon to melt your belly fat.
IT IS A LIE!!
To burn fat, you need to consume less calories than you spend in a day, for quite some time so that the body can start utilizing the stored fat.
That means:
- Eat nutrient dense foods – keeps you full for longer hence no urge to keep eating
- Ration the quantities of each macronutrient i.e. carbohydrates, protein and fat
- Include a lot of fiber in your diet – it slows down the release of glucose in the body hence no storage
- Schedule your meals so that you allow for calorific deficit – eat when you are hungry
- Have some physical activity for 3-5 days a week
As a fruit, lemon has many health benefits.
Lemon water is a rich source of vitamin C and plant compounds, which can enhance immune function, protect against various diseases, and increase absorption of iron
The citric acid in lemons decreases your risk of kidney stones by diluting urine and increasing its citrate content
If you are eating processed foods and sugars (pizza, noodles, chips, chocolates, sodas, etc.), large amount of food; no amount of lemon water can help reduce the body fat.
