Parents ask me, “how do I get my kids to eat healthy and they are used to sausages, bacon, cakes, noodles etc? “
My first question is who buys those ultra processed foods that contain too much sugar, sodium and bad for health?
It’s easy to get your family to eat healthy:
1. Fill your house, your car with healthy foods e. g. fruits, nuts, vegetables like carrots, whole grain cereals
2. Replace the snacks and drinks they are used to with healthy options e.g. potato chips with roast potato, sausages with meat balls(preferably home made) or fish fingers, soda with blended juice or fruit slices
3. Model healthy nutrition by eating healthy
